"Take Away!"

"And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." (John 14:3 KJV)

"Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don't really need to write you. For you know quite well that the day of the Lord's return will come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night. When people are saying, "Everything is peaceful and secure, then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman's labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren't in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won't be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don't belong to darkness and night. So be on guard, not asleep like others. Stay alert and be clearheaded." (1 Thessalonians 5:1-6 NLT)

Just so you know, I don't have any clue when Jesus will be retuning for His bride, the church; only that it is going to happen sooner than many people might think! Oddly enough, this current administration that is running things, they proclaim daily that 'Everything is peaceful and secure,' almost as if there is really nothing wrong with the border, escalation of crime, major amounts of overdoses, teen suicides, poverty, and many other issues, here and abroad.

What bothers me the most, is that the church is beginning to take on the climate of certain things of the world! Not just the recreational things, like the freedom to use drugs, but the cultural things, which are beings pushed upon the children, and the church! The church needs to be a place where there is some sort of morality and biblical standards withheld.

Anywho, I don't mean to be uncompassionate, but when compassion turns to approval, something has gone seriously wrong...

"For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds. You must teach these things and encourage the believers to do them. You have the authority to correct them when necessary, so don't let anyone disregard what you say." (Titus 2:11-15 NLT)
