"The Fullness of God" -2

"For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him." (John 3:34 KJV)

"In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him." (1 John 4:9 KJV)

Because we sometimes don't listen so well, God needed to demonstrate to us, that which His word has been saying all along, that He loves us! In other words, God used action to not only demonstrate how much He loves us; but the action He used was enough to also get the us redemption and eternal life, in the process! You really have got to admire how God works: He doesn't just make things happen, He makes things completely and thoroughly happen!

In the process, we are given a chance to be a part of something that is abundantly worthwhile; even at the expense of our own lives, if that might be required. Not to be dogmatic, but if it comes right down to it, we are, in this life, totally expendable, compared to the overall picture. As a matter of fact, there might even be more use for some of us, sooner dead, than alive. (I am referencing myself, in case you are asking.)

That said, there is something we need to understand about what this life is compared to that life which is to come: this life is just a wink of an eye, in comparison to eternity with Jesus; so try not to make so much out of what you might do or not do, because there is so much more that is to come. These are the things that I keep reminding myself about, as I am moving into the eighteenth year with my wife in her current condition.

Not that I am looking for anyone to feel sorry for me, because it is an honor for me to be entrusted with caring for her all these years. In all these years, she has never yet needed to be taken to the hospital or been in a threat of needing emergency care. There have been a couple of times when we were concerned, maybe even worried; but in those times I have the hired help go home, while I stay and watch to see what God might have me do.

Everyone that is in the know, knows that we do not call 911; if there is nothing we can do, then we can do nothing. That is the point I guess that I am trying to make. We are given this time to care for one another, and that is pretty much the bottom line. If you are looking for the fullness of God in your own life, then there is where you will find it, loving and caring for one another...

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us." (1 John 4:10-12 KJV)
