"Case For The Creator"

"He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor." (Psalms 72:4) There really is no other way that we can explain this, because only God could do what only God can do! It must have been quite a sight, seeing that star over the place of His birth. I don't care what they say, those shepherds came to the place of His birth on the night of His birth; those wise guys might have shown up several years latter, but the shepherds, they had to see the sight! I heard that thing again yesterday about those that believe Mary was a virgin and those that don't; needless to say, I do not doubt it for a minute that she was, not just because God can do it, but because of the verse from Genesis 3:15, as the "seed" of the woman is not natural, because the women does not have a seed, the man does. Besides that, there are so many places in the Bible that speak of her being a virgin, it not mentioned that many times for nothing, because it really was not nothing, it was God showing up in the flesh!!! Just one more reason that I do not own an NIV, not that I won't respect those that do, but I will understand if your views slant a little to the left. Personally, I have not meet a liberal Christian that does not have the NIV Bible in hand, or at least use one to study from. I think that throwing out portions of what the Bible says, and treating impossible things as simply impossible, is really selling yourself short on believing in a God that can do all things. Our God is mighty and powerful, He can do anything that He wants to do, anything! He says it and it's done; He speaks and things appear from nothing; so, if the God who made the heavens and the earth can't make a little "seed," then your faith is in the wrong God... "In the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin named Mary. She was engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David. Gabriel appeared to her and said, "Greetings, favored woman! The Lord is with you!" Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. "Don't be afraid, Mary," the angel told her, "for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call Him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the throne of His ancestor David. And He will reign over Israel forever; His Kingdom will never end!" Mary asked the angel, "But how can this happen? I am a virgin." The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and He will be called the Son of God. What's more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For nothing is impossible with God."" (Luke 1:26-37) NLT
