"Continue!"

"In God I will praise His word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me." (Psalms 56:4) I think my post yesterday was shorter than my closing verses; but you have got to admit, Paul brings some pretty good points to life, the point about "not being ashamed" is by far the most important. If our faith is based upon Jesus Christ, and His righteousness, and not our own, then there is nothing to be ashamed of, because our hope is in Christ, the "Author and Finisher" of our faith. Think about what Jesus went through to establish this hope that we are so confident in, and to demonstrate the courage that we have available to us, if we just put all of our trust in God. Confidence is such a demanding characteristic, because there is no room for doubt; if you are confident in something, then it means that you have 'a firm' trust that is based upon something that is true and proven. When I talk to people about the truth of the Bible, there are so many different excuses that they have on why they can't buy it, or how it does not make a strong enough case to challenge everything that they have been told or learned; yet, that's the whole point of what Paul was getting at, because we cannot even begin to see the truth without first putting our faith in Christ. The truth is still the truth no matter which way you are trying to look at it; or better yet, no matter which way that you fail to see it. Yes, God has given us a map and a guidebook, and it is contained in the sixty-six chapters of the Bible; all sixty-six chapters contain "His Story", and we must 'affirm' it is so in our hearts... "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:8-9)
