ISAIAH 55:1 - "Another Invitation: INHERITANCE"

"Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the Kingdom of Heaven, is like unto a man that is a householder, which bringeth forth out of His treasure things New and Old." (Matthew 13:52)
Lets move some sand away and see what is buried here as we look for treasure to be revealed. "Yea, Come, Buy Wine and Milk Without Money and Without Price." What are some of the implications to this statement? Remember, that God's Word is alive, and He has ordained it to be so; for there are many, many layers to how His word can apply, to our lives, to our way to view Him, and to the ways that He views us; but this is the interesting part: they always will be woven together. This is the critical information that I spoke of the other day, and what I meant by the multiple levels of 'Invitation' that are being illustrated not only here in Isaiah 55, but also in John chapter 4. In John 4:20, the woman makes the following statement to Jesus; "Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship." To which Jesus answered; "Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship; for salvation is of the Jews." To begin to understand what is the fullness of God's Grace, we must understand what is the fullness of our inheritance. There was a covenant made between God and Abraham; a covenant which established a blessing from God upon Abraham and all of his descendants; as many as the stars in the sky. To constitute His agreement with Abraham, Melchizedek brought out wine and bread to Abraham in Genesis 14:18; this was a sign of the New Covenant to come; which was established by Jesus on the cross. Matthew 26:26-28, Jesus taking the bread and the wine said; "Take, eat; this is my body." And He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink ye all of it; For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Wherein, Jesus brought out bread and wine to constitute His agreement to the New Covenant. This new covenant which was established, has included us, which were not part of the original covenant between God and Abraham; which were not part of the Abraham's sign to God of His part of the covenant; the sign of circumcision. God, because of His abundant Grace, has entitled us, who were not of the sign, to be grafted into the covenant of the promise. Do you have an old song in your heart? I do; "Father Abraham, had many sons, many sons had father Abraham, and I am one, and so are you...." "Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now, in Christ Jesus, ye who sometime were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ...For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father...In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a Holy Temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God through the Spirit." (Ephesians 2:11-22) Welcome to the Family!!!
