"Who Will Condemn Him?"

"Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death." (John 18:31 KJV)

""The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to who it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor."" (Genesis 49:10 NLT)

It might be hard to believe, but there couldn't be a crucifixion on the cross, unless the Romans were the ones that ruled the land; otherwise, Jesus would have been stoned, which really wouldn't have worked in the way God intended it to work. This has amazed me, from the very time that I accepted the Lord into my heart: that God would plan everything out, down to the persist moment in time, to the very detail; all of what was written about, would all come into His perfect plan.

Those who said they could not put a man to death, wasted no time stoning Stephen; yet they were not going to kill Jesus, as it would have caused many of those that followed Him to come against them. So, they gave it over to the Romans, making it look as though Jesus would have caused some sort of revolt or problem, something that would have placed the region in turmoil; something the Roman governor was there to prevent.

John doesn't get into much of the details, as the other Gospel messages illustrate, but he does say enough to show who was a fault, who was not, and why it all was carried out, all according to God's plan! This was the whole reason that Jesus came, as he previously quoted Jesus saying: "And as Moses lifted up the bronze snake on a pole in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life."(John 3:14-15 NLT)

The word, "must," means that it was the way it would happen, as that snake was nailed to a pole, so it was for the way Jesus would be crucified on a cross: nailed to it and lifted up for all to see! Who then is the one that condemned Him to die? It was the Father! "For God so loved the world, that He gave is one and only Son!" Yes, that "bow," God placed in the sky, pointed the arrow up!

The next timer that judgment would take place upon the whole earth, this would be the One that was to be judged...

"Then the LORD said to me, "Look, Jeremiah! What do you see" And I replied, "I see a branch from an almond tree." And the LORD said, "That's right, and it means that I am watching, and I will certainly carry out all my plans."" (Jeremiah 1:11-12 NLT)
