"For This Cause" - 2

"Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice." (John 18:37 KJV)

"For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him for your ransom long before the world began, but he has now revealed him to you in these last days. Through Christ you have come to trust in God. And you have placed your faith and hope in God because he raised Christ from the dead and gave him great glory." (1 Peter 1:18-21 NLT)

Just so you know, there is nothing we can do to undo the things we might have done; nor, can we go back and fix anything by doing the things we should have done! These are the things of life, once the day has been ended, the day is done! Which reminds me of something that I hardly ever remember doing: Do not go to sleep with anger towards your spouse!

We might have had some spats and things might have gotten ugly a time or two; but we always made sure that we came together to pray, asking God to forgive us! And never ever leave, as if you are giving up! It might sound easy, but it must be something you are committed to do, no matter what.

Anywho, this is something that Jesus was determined to do, because this is what He came to do: To undo all that had been done, from the very first sin, to the very last, He came to pay the price for us to be free from sin, because it was a price that we could never have paid! That is the Truth! No matter what we might try, or how hard we might work towards pleasing God, we could never erase the sin that is in us, ever!

This statement, "Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice," is confirmation that we understand that He died for our sins and has given us new life! This is made possible by what He has done on the cross, and nothing we have done is responsible for removing our sins from us, absolutely nothing! This is totally and completely a gift from God, which is there for the taking!

Therefore, those things which have passed, we might regret them and be anguished over them, but just like our ability to remove our own sins, we have nothing we can do to change them! But God!!! God can turn ashes into beauty and bring dry bones back to life! There is nothing God cannot do, and then some; much more than we could ever wish or pray for, He can do better!

I guess what I am trying to say, is that we are guaranteed a New Life, there is no way that we can turn back and undo what God has done! You might think you can quit, buy if you have truly been born again, your life is in Christ, and He is in you; your pretty much stuck and there is nothing you can do!

I know that I will have people that will disagree with what I just said; but as long as I believe it, then I keep believing and will always hear His voice; even if I stumble, or fall, or turn by back, I must not quit believing, no matter what! No matter how my day has ended, it never ends without me asking for God forgiveness...

"You were cleansed from your sins when you obeyed the truth. So now you must show sincere love to each other as brothers and sisters. Love each other deeply with all of your hearts. For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. As the Scriptures say, "People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. But the word of the Lord remains forever." And that word is the Good News that was preached to you." (1 Peter 1:22-25 NLT)
