"Compassion and Substance" -Too

"My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, showing himself through the lattice." (S.O.S. 2:9)

I know it might be a little harsh, but those descriptions of people that have no fear of God before their eyes, those that know not the way of peace, believe it or not, but many are they that are found in the church! We can pretend it is not so, but the hardest hits are the ones we receive from within; be they in the form of looks or words, judgement is not being put forth without first considering the sin within; because there is none righteous, no, not one!
Maybe we need to acknowledge what this is showing us, because I am pretty sure it paints a perfect picture. The Lord sees everything and more! He sees the actions we put forth, as well and the heart; which actually means that He sees the reason for whatever action is, whether it is for ourselves or for someone else.
I don't mean to get into this, because it is really not necessary to talk about. What we must not loose sight of, (no pun intended,) is that He is always watching! We might think we have this wall, a thing to hide behind, but our wall is lattice, full of holes and extremely easy to look through. Once we can come to terms with that, there is something that is noticeable and can help us with our condition: He makes Himself visible and shows Himself through our lattice!
Whether you are new or old to this salvation experience, nothing matters more than knowing that you are being watched. Every step you take, it is a step you take in Christ; whether you know it or not, you no longer have an independent life; your life has been purchased with His blood and you are now the property of Jesus Christ.
Build all the walls you want to, because no wall we build can keep Him out; there is nowhere to hide and nowhere to put anything out of His sight; He sees it all! Something to think about when it comes to judging a brother or sister, don't you think?
More than that, we have this model of what it means to love; because love is and makes itself known...

"So, my dear brothers and sisters, this is the point: You died to the power of the law when you died with Christ. And now you are united with the one who was raised from the dead. As a result, we can produce a harvest of good deeds for God. When we were controlled by our old nature, sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death. But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit." (Romans 7:4-6)
