"Lots of Love"

"For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity." (Psalms 125:3)

In the chance that we become weary of being tormented or persecuted, God will always give us a way to deal with whatever it is that we are up against; as it is with being tempted, He always will give us a way to escape. With either of these issues, trials or temptations, it is totally up to us to reach out and take hold of whatever it is, either shelter or escape. If you believe in miracles, as you should, then you must know that it is our faith that causes the miracle to take place in our lives, or in the lives of others. It might not take a miracle to make us feel less torment in a trial, or less temptation when we are tempted, but as with the power behind the miracle, there is also power involved with dealing with torment and temptation. Not that I have all day to get this point across, because I don't; but if you really want to have relief or deliverance, then you must plug into the power of God! He has already given us everything that we need to overcome, we just need to reach out and take hold of it. Whether it is our lack of faith or our strong desire to continue being tempted, it is something going on in us that makes us choose to fail or fall. If you have ever tried to counsel someone that is dealing with a really difficult situation, as long as the problem appears bigger than God can handle, or they believe that God has abandoned them, there is nothing that you can give them to make their situation better. But, it only takes one second for them to turn their face to God, and just like that everything is totally different! Really, that is the miracle of God's love! We cannot deny it; we cannot undo it; and we surely can't stop it! James puts it in terms that make far more sense than mine...

"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded. Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up." (James 4:8-10)
