"Springs of Water"

"The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night." (Psalms 121:6)

Having something that is somewhat of a continuous trial or circumstance, I can feel obligated to share something about what keeps me going and where joy is found in all of this. First and foremost, this has got to be something that is looked at as a blessing. If you cannot see the blessing, then you must ask God to show you where it is and how to rest in Him. That might be the hardest part of any trial or circumstance, resting in God's unfailing arms. Do you remember the words that Jesus used to calm the storm? Those three words are the words that we must continually use to be calm in the storms of life all around us; not for the storms of life, but for the doubt and anxiety in our lives. There are pills for that, but be very cautious, they only mast the problem. The real problem is the lack of trust in God; the trust that believes He is in control and that every circumstance is a blessing in disguise; we just need to have Him open the eyes of our heart to see the Springs of Water flowing up from them, whatever they might be. Obviously there might be more to this than just that, because if it were that simple, many brothers and sisters would not need to be medicated. Yes, there is one more little piece of information that must be established in our hearts: God's Word! If you doubt anything that God has said, then you open up your heart to doubt anything that God has said! It is really easy to find verses that will help minister in any situation, but in order for any verse to make a real impact on your situation, you must believe that His word is 100% truth. You would be surprised by the number of people who say they believe the Bible, but they have parts of it that they don't believe are true; or if they are true, they are speaking metaphorically. Figuratively speaking, leaves a lot of wiggle room in the way things actually work. Is that the way you want receive a blessing? That is really not something that you can hold onto, if it is something that is not truth. No, this is like night and day; it either is or it isn't. You cannot have your cake and eat it too...

""I will say to the prisoners, 'Come out in freedom,' and to those in darkness, 'Come into the light.' They will be my sheep, grazing in been pastures and on hills that were previously bare. They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun will not reach them anymore. For the LORD in his mercy will lead them; he will lead them beside the cool waters. And I will make my mountains into level paths for them. The highways will be raised above the valleys."" (Isaiah 49:9-11) NLT
