"Far Far Away"

"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." (Psalms 103:12)
Whether you can accept it or not, God does have the ability to blot out your sins. He has the ability to remember not; even though He is All-Knowing, He is also All-Merciful; add to that His ability to take away our sins, and you have been totally and completely cleansed, from head to toe! "White as snow," the Bible says! That means that every speck of sin is removed and is cast away, so far away that it can never be reached again. I know, there is always that question of turning back; you know, that notion of our walking west and the east is always behind us, until we turn and walk east again. But, if you are walking east, then you are always going east too; you just see more sunrises and less sunsets. Besides, the Bible says that His mercies are new every morning, so more sunrises are the direction you want to be going; that way you can have more chances to start over, day after day. Oh, you don't start over each day? I sorry, I guess I just assumed it was something that all of us did; to start each day asking for God's forgiveness, guidance, and protection, over everything we do or everywhere we go. I like to start my day by giving thanks for waking up; another day to try and make it right, another day to try to be a better person. I actually heard a message about that yesterday, that was about how we spend more time not listening to God than we spend listening to Him, and we disobey more often than we actually obey. If we are not doing God's will, then we are doing our own; and if we are doing our own will, then we are not listening to God for instruction. "Who then can be saved!" That's a quote from one of Jesus' disciples, in reference to the camel going through the eye of a needle. Don't ask me, I really don't know how He does it, I just know that He says that He can and He will; and that is good enough in my book! If God's says that He remembers our sins no more, then it is as promised, period! We, on the other hand do not have that ability; and it is probably for a good reason...
"The old system under the law of Moses was only a shadow, a dim preview of the good things to come, not the good things themselves. The sacrifices under that system were repeated again and again, year after year, but they were never able to provide perfect cleansing for those who came to worship. If they could have provided perfect cleansing, the sacrifices would have stopped, for the worshipers would have been purified once for all time, and their feelings of guilt would have disappeared. But instead, those sacrifices actually reminded them of their sins year after year. For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God, "You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer. You were not pleased with burnt offerings or other offerings for sin. Then I said, 'Look, I have come to do your will, O God -as is written about me in the Scriptures.'"" (Hebrews 10:1-7) NLT
