"The Power of God's Word"

"If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be." (Ecclesiastes 11:3 KJV)

""The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it."" (Isaiah 55:10-11 NLT)

Again, "The Uncertainties of Life," come into focus, because what happens here on this earth, may not be what is or could be, because God's in control of the outcome; He has made this very obvious in His word, over and over again. Yes, the devil might be the ruler of this earth, but he only has a certain amount of power to cause trouble and take as many of us with him, into the final judgement. But in the end, God will win!

There is something special about the true way to understand and treat God's word; the most important thing of all, is to trust that it is actually His Word, believing that He ordained every single thing that was written. Once you have accepted that to be true, no matter how hard it might be to understand whatever you don't know, you will just practice believing it; understanding that it is what it says it is, and that settles it! Some might say you are foolish, but obviously, what they say doesn't count.

Anyone who tries to tell you that everything in the Bible isn't true, should really not be paid attention to, because God's Word is TRUE! Even if there is something you don't understand, there are a lot of things we don't understand, even about the things of this earth. Why doesn't everything just fly off of the earth, at the rate of speed that this earth is spinning?

Last week I was eating at Applebee's, watching the drag races on the tv screen. It was amazing to watch the way they sometimes just lifted up off the ground, rolling and breaking apart as if they were like a leak being sweep up off the ground. That was just from going several hundred miles an hour; imagine what it would be like if they were going 1,000 miles an hour!

Then, as if a 40 mile an hour wind couldn't do much to a plane, there was a plane that flipped upside down on the runway, just by being in the right position, at the wrong time. They could try to practice that maneuver over and over again, and it probably wouldn't happen.

There are a lot of things on this earth that are hard to understand; but trusting in God isn't one of them...

"You faithfully answer our prayers with awesome deeds, O God our savior. You are the hope of everyone on earth, even those who sail on distant seas. You formed the mountains by your power and armed yourself with mighty strength. You quieted the raging oceans with their pounding waives and silenced the shouting of nations. Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy." (PSALM 65:5-8 NLT)
