"Earthquake Love!" -2

"How fair is thy love, my sister, my spouse! how much better is thy love than wine! and the smell of thine ointments than all spices!" (S.O.S. 4:10)

If I made light of this, I did not mean for it to come across the way it might have; because this is really not a laughing matter; but, in the same way, it is something to take comfort in, and if you can find it well with your soul, then go ahead and feel okay to give it a little chuckle! To be perfectly honest, I really do not understand the whole picture; and to be frank, I do not think anyone else does either. We are all just part of His-Story; a small little part of the painting; which is His beautiful masterpiece, painted upon a most glorious canvas; a canvas that only allows us to see what we see, and sometimes we can maybe, just maybe, we get a little glimpse of the Master's brush!

This is what we are looking at today, as with any other supposedly normal day, we see the horizontal movement; at best, we can sense the direction, maybe we can detect the magnitude; and if we the least bit tuned in, we can even understand the why and the therefore. The bottom line, is that we do not need to know the answer to every question; we just need to know the One that has all the answers and trust Him on everything that He lets us know.

Yesterday I had the chance to catch a, "Wretched Minute," which just a little minute long message from Todd's radio show. In this little message he shared about the question many people might ask or get asked about any particular verse from the Bible, which is: 'What does that verse mean to you?' Going on to say, quite frankly: "It doesn't matter what it means to you; it matters what it meant to the Author!"

This is a pretty good time to ask Him, "Lord, what does this mean? How does it apply to me? And what do I do with that now?" Forgetting about that which is behind; we press forward! Like that Italy racer in the old racing movie: you tear down that rear-view mirror, saying, "Whatsa' behind me, is of no concern!" Because this is about what Christ Jesus does in you! And all though everything we do in Christ is for His kingdom, it happens here; in us, through us, and for His Glory...

"There is therefore no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1-4)
