"Because He is God"

"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands." (Psalms 100:1)
As I was praying about this message, I could not help but think about all those who do not know God, and I became thankful in the relationship that He has called me into with Him. We are so mightily blessed, those of us who are called and have been anointed by the power of His Spirit. We are blessed because we have been given the knowledge of knowing Him and His love. Think about all of those that you know who are missing out on the blessing that you have been given; and as you do, realize the opportunity that you have been given to be a witness to the love of God. It might not seem like much, but every person in your circle must know that you are a Christian; and if they don't, then it is important that they do. I know, you are probably thinking that this has nothing to do with the verse above, so you are starting to loose interest in what I am saying. But it does, because this is what making a joyful noise is all about; besides that we are making that noise unto the LORD, we are to be praising God with our lives, in order that we can touch the lives of those around us. The reason for the title is more than just to acknowledge who God is, it is also to acknowledge who we are as His children; He is God, and we know Him! That is why we can make a joyful noise unto Him, because we actually know who He is and how much He loves us! That is a pretty big deal, in case you had not realized that by now; it is reason enough to sing, it is reason enough to rejoice, and it is reason enough to share what you have been given. In reference to "all ye lands," there is something we must remember when it comes to being salt and light, in that we are messengers of the Gospel. Whether you know it or not, it is what we are called into; that we can declare what the Lord has done, in whatever way that God has called us to do it. Some of us might not feel that we have such a calling, but if there is breath in our lungs, we have life enough to make a difference in the kingdom of God. It might just be a simple random act of kindness, or even a way of encouraging someone by the way that you care about them. It might not seem like much, but when you start praying for God's guidance and direction, little encounters turn into big noise for the kingdom of God...
"Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout aloud, O Israel! Be glad and rejoice with all your heart, O daughter of Jerusalem! For the LORD will remove his hand of judgment and will disperse the armies of your enemy. And the LORD himself, the King of Israel, will live among you! At last your troubles will be over, and you will never again fear disaster. On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be, "Cheer up, Zion! Don't be afraid! For the LORD your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."" (Zephaniah 3:14-17) NLT
