"The Teacher Speaks:"

"I, the Teacher, was king of Israel, and I lived in Jerusalem. I devoted myself to search for understanding and to explore by wisdom everything being done under heaven. I soon discovered that God has dealt a tragic existence to the human race. I observed everything going on under the sun, and really, it is all meaningless - like chasing the wind.

"What is wrong cannot be made right. What is missing cannot be recovered.

"I said to myself, "Look, I am wiser than any of the kings who ruled in Jerusalem before me. I have greater wisdom and knowledge than any of them." So I set out to learn everything from wisdom to madness and folly. But I learned firsthand that pursuing all this is like chasing the wind.

"The greater my wisdom, the greater the grief. To increase knowledge only increases sorrow." (Ecclesiastes 1:12-18 NLT)

"My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us." (1 John 3:18-24 KJV)

We need to take some time to think about some of this, from God's perspective, not from man's point of view. Should anyone think that Solomon was not in his right mind, there might be some truth to that, if you are talking about the mind of a Thinker! The harder we think about anything that involves God, the further out of our minds we might get; there is no end to the circles we create, just trying to imagine the ways of God!

If you study the lives of great Preachers and Teachers, you will discover that many of them were out of sorts, and that's putting it mildly. One thing is for sure, whether he was in his right mind, or out of sorts, he was led by the Spirit of God! What a difference the Spirit makes in us, anyone of us that are led by the Spirit! We might not know what we are talking about, but when the Spirit speaks, words come out of us that make hearts to listen!

This is how God works!!! You might not get the punchline, but it is the Spirit that delivers the punch...

"Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference: for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." (Romans 3:19-26 KJV)
