"Apostasy"

"When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha." (John 19:13 KJV)

"Then the king removed the side panels and basins from the portable water carts. He also removed the great bronze basin called the Sea from the backs of the bronze oxen and placed it on the stone pavement. In deference to the king of Assyria, he also removed the canopy that had been constructed inside the palace for use on the Sabath day, as well as the king's outer entrance to the Temple of the LORD." (2 Kings 16:17-18 NLT)

Not quite sure what we are looking at, but whatever it is, it must be important and speaks towards the events that are happening, or else John would not have made a reference to this word, 'Gabbatha.' Due to the constraints of time, I would like to just remind everyone that might not remember, this was a palace that had been built by Herod, who was known for building elaborate buildings. So, the chances are, he would have also build-in certain pieces to express the history is Jerusalem and the Temple. (Just saying!)

To the point of Pilate's position in this matter, he has now taken the place of judgment, as the one, if you will, that is now in charge as if he has overruled what Jesus said, "Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above." In essence, he is acting as if the power is his, if he so chooses, and has taken the place of judge in this matter; no matter, he has placed himself above!

I know that seems odd and useless, but it is only his chance to feel lofty and superior; after all, he is the governor of the region, so he might as well use whatever power he feels he has been given. By the way, what the heck is happening in Trump's court case? He can't even speak on his behalf, even when he is called to testify! As soon as he starts making sense with the truth, he is told to not speak, as if it might destroy the case brought against him. (You think!)

I'm sorry, but this country is going down the toilet, quicker than we might have expected! No wonder the United States of America is not shown to be a player in the Bible; because before we know it, it will have been stricken from this earth! I am totally fine with that, because I know where I'm going, regardless of where this nation goes, my home is in Heaven! (I'm not boasting!)

As too the stunts that King Ahaz did, he had visited King Tiglathpileser of Assyia in Damascus, and witnessed the construction of their temple, taking notes and having Uriah the Priest of the Temple, in Jerusalem, alter the Temple of the LORD, as per his instructions. As crazy as that might sound, he really wasn't all that concerned about pleasing the LORD; so he pretty much did whatever he felt like doing.

Be careful what you plan for, because your plans may not work out the way that you expect! God is the one that has the plan, we are just pieces of His majestic work of art...

"Look here, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and we will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit." How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog - it's here a little while, then it's gone. What you ought to say is, "If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that." Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil. Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it." (James 4:13-17 NLT)
