"Confirmation"

"And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it is come to pass, ye might believe." (John 14:29 KJV)

"This is what the LORD says: "I will go before you, Cyrus, and level the mountains. I will smash down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. And I will give you treasures hidden in darkness - secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name."" (Isaiah 45:2-3 NLT)

As most of us know, this King Cyrus, was the one who help Israel; foretold by name in the scroll of Isaiah some 150 to 200 years before it would happen. It was that fact, it being written and then revealed to King Cyrus, that caused him to believe in the God that had chosen him, and it understand what he was to do for God's people.

Amazingly, much of what was told about Cyrus, was also a mirror image of the Messiah and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Even the few examples that are listed above, these are the signs of the spiritual things which the Lord did, as He leveled the mountains of our oppression, smashed the gates of hell, cut through the bars of our bondage to sin, and revealed God's precious love through the darkness of His suffering!

Anywho, I admit it, I am a little strange sometimes; so, don't think too much about it, I am certain that there is something good that might come from it, one way or another. I know that because that is what God does: Beauty for Ashes, as the Scripture says; making something which seems as though it could never be made right and turns it into the most beautiful thing of all!

Much of what Jesus told the disciples, they really did not understand; and the parts they did understand, they didn't like and felt sad over. How would it be possible for them to rejoice in something so dark and horrible, envisioning their Lord nailed to a cross? By the way, why do some have crosses with Jesus still on them? Hopefully they know that was only a temporary thing; meaningful and powerful, but only for a moment in time!

That was the whole reason that Jesus willfully went to the cross, for that which would happen after! As the disciples too would come to realize, as they would spend time with Him after He rose again, even having a meal with Him, and then watching Him ascend up into heaven. This is what makes the story so real, as they gave their lives in that truth, because it was the truth!

That fact alone, has caused many sceptics and nonbelievers to change their hearts and minds, and to become true believers in Christ. If there is something that is causing you doubts, then you need to get that settled in your heart and mind, like right now! It must be fortified in you, and you must, with all of your heart, believe that the Bible is 100% real: The Truth of God...

""Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth."" (John 17:17 NLT)
