"The Separated Waters"

"The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back." (Psalms 114:3)

There are some that would like to play this down, as if the waters never really parted, but were dried up, or the areas where they crossed were shallow, and any number of excuses for explaining how it might have happened. I said it before, and I will say it again: Genesis 1:1 is where you must decide whether or not you will believe in the God of the Bible: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." It is really that simple! If you can't get past that verse and believe that it is true, then you are going to have issues with the majority of the rest of the Book. There are several things that I don't understand in the Bible; how God made the waters part and stay up like walls, might be one of them; then again, I hardly doubt that He had difficulty in making it happen. If He can stop the rotation of the earth, He can part the Red Sea or dry up the Jordan River; He is God! He can do whatever He wants whenever He wants to do it, because in the words Gabriel, "Nothing is impossible with God!" If we are going to believe that God can guarantee us eternal life with Him in heaven, then we had better be able to believe that He can part the waters; so that issue for me is settled, and now we are moving on. Now the question remains, what do we do with that? Seriously, how do we respond to the power and might of God's hand upon the elements? What about for your health or well being? If He can part the ocean, can He not also cure your cancer? Is it too much for Him to take the time for your need for healing? There are two very important points to our existence here on this earth: First of which, we are here as long as God would have us be here; Second, when it is our time to go, then it is time to go. So, if you are still here today, then God's not finished with you yet...

"Then said Martha unto Jesus, "Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know, that even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee." Jesus saith unto her, "Thy brother shall rise again." Martha saith unto him, "I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day." Jesus said unto her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"" (John 11:21-26) KJV
