"Our God is Greater"

"And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD." As you may or may not know, we can try and crawl off of that Rock all we want, but God has a string attached to us, so you had better get use to being a Yo Yo. If you can't see what I am talking about, all that you need to do is to look at Israel, and you will see a people that are taken captive and delivered over and over again; all because they would not listen; all because they made wrong choices; but God did not give up on them, nor will He ever. The magnitude of God's love for His people goes further than we could ever imagine, and the power of His word is something that can not be outdone by anything that we can imagine in our own hearts; if God says that you are His forever, then there is really nothing you can do to change that; it might get a little ugly for a while, but in the end, your still standing on the Rock. So why fight being blessed? I mean, really; why do we forfeit so much of what God has for us, only to enjoy being bad for a little while? There are different degrees of being bad; there might be no variation in sin, because sin is sin; but being bad, that has something to do with our intentions and our respect. It is kind of like when the children of Israel were in the wilderness; some days they were bad, and then some days they were really bad; almost every day they sinned and fell short of giving God the glory for delivering them from bondage; but some days, they just flat out cursed God for taking them from the comforts of that bondage. If they only knew what God had in store for their lives, those so called comforts would appear like fast-food compared with a five star restaurant, or Motel 6 to a Luxury Resort. Once we catch the vision of God's goodness towards us, and once we can settle for what He has in store for us, instead of trying to have our cake and eat it too, maybe then we shall be able to sing that new song, and with patience run the race that is before us... "Wash ye, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before Mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to do well; seek judgment , relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it." (Isaiah 1:16-20)
