"Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession." (Hebrews 4:14 KJV)
"What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one - for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one - for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God's right hand, pleading for us." (Romans 8:31-34 NLT)
Just in case you think I am changing the message, this is not about us having power on our own, because we do not! What it does mean, is that we are given power, the kind of power that makes us invincible, which basically means that this world has no hold upon us, if we continue to abide in Christ!
That said, I am also of the opinion that we have some kind of invincibility, regardless of falling into things which might cause us to walk away or live in a manner that is unpleasing to the Lord. But we will not enjoy that life; and will still be saved, we just might be a toasted marshmallow when we arrive up in Heaven. (1 Corinthians 3:15)
Anywho; this is something that involves the ability to withstand whatever gets thrown at us on this earth, whether it is something that hurts this body, or something that actually kills us, we are going to have the same outcome when we leave this earth! Even when we stray away, the Lord is still pleading for us, as our Great High Priest, making the case for us, as those that have already been justified and forgiven.
Will we see Solomon in Heaven? I am pretty certain that we will, even though he messed up and lived a life that was not pleasing to the LORD! As it is with Samson, as well as several other famous people in the Bible that didn't live perfect lives; because we are all sinners that have been saved by Grace!
There are several different opinions on this matter; but truth be told: If you have been saved by the blood of Christ, you are already secure, even to the very end! But those that stop believing in the wonderworking power of the cross, may not have been saved to begin with...
"Can anything ever separate us from Christ's love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (As the Scriptures say, "For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.") No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love. Neither death nor life, neither angels or demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow - not even the powers of hell can separate us from God's love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below - indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:35-39 NLT)
