"Common Sense!"

"Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, that that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee?" (John 21:23 KJV)

""God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knowns where it can be found, for he looks throughout the whole earth and sees everything under the heavens. He decided how hard the winds should blow and how much rain should fall. He made laws for the rain and laid out a path for the lightening. Then he saw wisdom and evaluated it. He set it in place and examined it thoroughly. And this is what he says to all humanity: 'The fear of the Lord is true wisdom; to forsake evil is real understanding.' "" (Job 28:23-28 NLT)

Yesterday afternoon, I was gazing out into the backyard of my house, watching all the trees that were swaying in the wind, seeing the clouds being pushed around in the sky, and thinking about just how little, if anything, we can do about the weather, the earth's shifting, or anything else that might cause any movement or changes to this earth. We are wholly dependent upon God's laws and protections, because there is no way to control what God has placed in motion!

These wise guys that go around the world spreading, so called, "climate change," warning us about things to come, really have no clue what our climate is doing, how it works, or where it will be ending up. If they really wanted to know what will happen to this planet, then they should start reading the Bible; because there is nothing that we humans can do, except believe in Jesus and hope to be spared from the real destruction that is to come.

As much as I would like to say that they are all just fools and really don't know; I believe they know who it is that is controlling them, and why they think they can out do God. They are being fooled, if they think CO2 has anything to do with the change this earth is going through; because this change, if any, is the earth trembling and getting ready for what God is going to do, not what man can do or not do!

If you don't believe me, look it up; the Bible will show you what is really happening, not the world's spin on what's up. Besides, when they try to spin it, they say that Mother Nature is mad at what we are doing, so she is causing the climate to change. Oh no, they forget about Father Time, because if the earth was 800 billion years old, it would have once been part of the sun!

Sorry for the rant, but I just get so frustrated by how little common sense is used to evaluate and understand that God is real, and that none of this just came into existence on its own. We are not alone, that much is for sure; but the One watching over us is our Judge, and He is going to judge rightly and true!

As to the issue we are talking about today, the rumor that John was not going to die; there are really some of our brothers and sisters within the church that have commingled there understanding with the world's way of thinking and what the Bible says, or what they think that it says. God might take someone off of the earth, but nowhere in Scripture does it show that He leaves someone on the earth, indefinitely.

Just a little observation, which most anyone can clearly understand. Besides, when Jesus told His disciples, in Matthew 17:20: "if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you." We look at that and think that is about having the power to do this or that; when in reality, the power is God's, not ours. We have faith to call on God, believing in what God wants, not what we can ask Him to do for us!

Men and women of strong faith in the Bible were able to do what God called them to do, which was what their faith brought them, obedience to let God do the impossible! However, for many, that same faith is what would cost them their lives! As Pastor Chuck notes: "Faith is not an instrument to get my will done, but to get God's will done; it may be that it is God's will that I should suffer; it was surely His will that His Son should suffer."

Just a little bit of common sense is all it takes to see the truth; but it takes a lot of non-sense to believe a lie! Believe in God, truly and faithfully, and everything will make more sense...

""When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored as the head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before. Now, I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud."" (Daneil 4:36-37 NLT)
