"The Remedial Law!"

"For the law was given be Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ." (John 1:17 KJV)

"Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant." (1 Kings 8:56 KJV)

To be perfectly clear about something I might have not explained correctly: peace and joy are very important, when they of the Lord's; again, something that is given to us, that is of Him! But, if that is all we come looking for, it will not be enough to carry us onward: we have peace and joy when we fix our eyes on Christ's finished work of Redemption; which is that hope we hold dearly in our hearts! If we have not that hope within us, then peace and joy are only temporary pleasures; trials and tribulations will make them the things we hope for, not the Redemption, which counts the most. I'm just sayin!

In all practical purposes, the law that was given by Moses was absolutely wonderful to try to live by; if you are the least bit interested in being obedient to God and His rules, then those Ten Commandment were the list of things that were needed to fulfill your interest. However, they were not liberating, to say the least! If you study the Jewish law, hundreds, if not thousands, of sub-law requirements were added, to what should have been a perfect law; if that is, we were perfect people!

I know this might seem like a lot to take away from a 15 word verse; but this is more about a new law, a law that is based more like to law of gravity, then the previous law, which was more like the law of flight or flying. The law of gravity says, you jump from a certain height, and based upon that law, you will fall to your death. The law of flight says, you cannot fly! No matter how hard you flap your arms, your going to go down, so why even try!

Thank God for the making the way for us to fly! We can sore higher than the eagle! This is what Jesus Christ has done for us, as crazy as that law thing might appear, gravity is now our friend! When we are in Christ, we have defeated death, because He has defeated death; we are made perfect in Him, so that old way of, cannot fly, is over, because Christ has given us wings to fly! There is where peace and joy are discovered, you cannot lose; even if you lose, you are good to go...

"Think of it this way. If a father dies and leaves an inheritance for his young children, those children are not much better off than slaves until they grow up, even though they actually own everything their father had. They have to obey their guardians until they reach whatever age their father set. And that's the way it was with us before Christ came. We were like children; we were slaves to the basic spiritual principles of this world. But when the right time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, subject to the law. God sent him to buy freedom for us who were slaves of the law, so that he could adopt us as his very own children. And because we are his children, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, prompting us to cry out, "Abba, Father." Now you are no longer a slave but God's own child. And since you are his child, God has made you his heir." (Galatians 4:1-7 NLT)
