"To Bear Witness"

"The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe." (John 1:7 KJV)

"May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God." (Ephesians 3:19 NLT)

So, if you have been wondering about anything going on in the churches, as if there might be some sort of hidden agenda to what is in the works; there is nothing new, as far as spiritual battles, that has not been going on for centuries gone by. However, there are many more ways to color a pig, so to speak, so the love for this world and the desires of the flesh have been magnified greatly. And I am talking about what is happening within the churches!

Not to be a party-pooper, or anything that might disrupt what is going on; but it just is what was said would happen, and it is surely happening. Besides all that nonsense, we are called to remain faithful! It is not up to us to change anyone else but ourselves; but it is our responsibility for the example we set for others to take notice of, that they might desire the hope that is within us.

There are two very distinct ways that one might read the Scripture we are looking at today; either one is correct, as they both are true and important. It is so hard to keep the witness of Christ's love towards others in this current culture; somehow, some way, someone is going to push the wrong button in your heart, and you are bound to have a bad day. That said, I believe with all of my heart, that with prayer and God's grace, even our worst mess we make, God can and will turn it towards good!

It basically comes down to this one truth: Our mistakes, are God's opportunities! I was reminded of something yesterday that can give us great hope: David was a man after God's own heart, because he was willing to not make excuses...

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 KJV)
