"Spiritual Application"

"He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; he maketh lightenings for the rain; he bringeth the wind out of his treasuries." (Psalms 135:7)

As hard as it is to talk about, God has a way of making us have peace, regardless of any situation. If that is what you have seen in your own life, then you know what it is that I am talking about. We are not capable of producing peace; just like we cannot calm the seas or change the direction of the wind, peace is something that comes over us; it is not something that we bring up out of us. Listening to a teaching yesterday morning, I was a little taken back by what I heard; much like what I shared on the other day, there is something we must be aware of when it comes to the work of the Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit will always magnify and solidify the work of Jesus Christ! In other words, He is not the main Character in the Holy Trinity; unlike some will try to make Him out to be, because the Three are One: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all work together as ONE! The verse we are looking at today is the illustration of the working of the Holy Spirit; if there can actually be any way for the Spirit to be illustrated. Both the Father and the Son have very significant characters, but the Holy Spirit is much like a vapor, or lightening, or the wind; we do not know from where He came or to where He is gone, but we know when He shows up! Talk about something you cannot put your finger on: He is unlimited in power, but cannot be contained; He has the ability to change us, but He himself never changes! Talk about something that can make you take notice, that is exactly what He does: He illuminates Christ Jesus, and brings everything into focus...

"Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit."" (John 3:5-8)
