"God's Reasons"

"Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:" (Psalms 95:10)
Maybe it's the motivation that is all messed up, as in, the reason we need to do what we do, or should do what we do. Maybe we are looking at this from a totally wrong point of view, as if this is for us, when it really is about what God thinks and cares for. Simply put, this is all about God's glory and reputation, not about ours, not about what's in it for us. God does what He does because it brings glory to His name; we are the ones that get blessed to be a part of what He does. If you stop and think about it, the reason we get so worked up by our circumstances and situations is we are looking at them for what is going on with us, as if this or that is all about me. Asking stupid silly questions, like, How is this working towards my good? or What is God trying to speak into my life through this tragedy? How about we stop looking for ways to get things out of our situations and look for ways to bless God in every circumstance? Seriously, it is not about us! God's love saved us; I am pretty sure that we get that; but do we understand the motivation behind God's love? What is so hard for us to understand? If you love someone, I mean really love them, then don't you want to spend time with them? I wish to go back to the beginning, for just a moment; the Second Day to be exact. Of all six days of creation, all were good except that Second Day, the day that God established the separation between firmaments, the earth and Heaven. It is not just that God wants to have fellowship with us, He wants us to be able to fellowship with Him. In order for that to happen, there needs to be holiness in us; without holiness we are unable to enter in to fellowship with a Holy God. I truly wish that I could explain it well enough to understand it myself, but it's more complicated than this mortal mind can begin to comprehend. What I do know, is that God makes the reasons; God decides how it will all work out, for His glory! I think we just need to chill out and enjoy the simple fact that He loves us; that way we can focus upon what God wants...
""For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him. "There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants."" (John 3:16-21) NLT
