"Say That It's So"

"Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously." (Psalms 96:10)
It's really not that we have got to do anything, it's that we get to do all things, through Christ! So, yes, we really do not have a choice; the choice was taken the day that we accepted Jesus Christ into our hearts, from then unto now, any time we have chosen to disobey it has been a sin, worthy of judgment. What makes this crazy ride so amazingly wild, is that every sin has been dealt with on that cross! What do I do with that! Oh yah, that's exactly what the world can't figure out: What is the difference between my sins and their sins? My sins are forgiven! Does that mean that I can keep on sinning? Absolutely not! Paul dealt with this in several different ways, Romans Chapter Six, being one of the most easy to comprehend. Pretty much, it all comes down to Whom do we obey, that guy that is dead in Christ, or the new Owner of this soul, Christ Jesus? We are bought and paid for by the Lord; so if there is going to be someone that we are going to answer to, then it will be Him; and you can bet your bottom dollar, He will judge righteously! I guess you could say without a doubt, we actually do have a choice; we can choose to live, or we can choose to die; we can choose to please our King, or we can choose to take our place among the heathen. Maybe we need a little time to think about that? Is that right? The center portion of the verse above might not seem all that complex; after all, we already know that He has established the earth and the heavens, and that He holds everything together by His very Word. But, did you not know that before the foundations of the world He has chosen you? Be perfectly honest, doesn't that give you something to feel worthy of being? You are not some piece of trash that washed up on the shore; you are a son or a daughter of the King, the KING of KINGS! You are something special, and you should be living as though it is so. Am I saying that we have something to prove? By all means, yes! The proof lives within us...
"And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness. Don't let anyone capture you with empty philosophies and high-sounding nonsense that come from human thinking and from spiritual powers of this world, rather than from Christ. For in Christ lives the fullness of God in a human body. So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. When you came to Christ, you were "circumcised," but not be a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision -the cutting away of your sinful nature. For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead." (Colossians 2:6-12) NLT
