"Invoking God's Mercy"

PSALMS 85 [To the chief Musician, A Psalm for the sons of Korah.]
I think it is rather interesting how we go from, "Yearning for God's House," to, "Invoking God's Mercy." Actually, it makes perfect sense, since the closer you get to heaven, the least qualified you feel to approach it. There might be some sort of mystery to how we are transformed from this form of corruption to the new form of holiness, but one thing is for sure, it does not happen here, not in the flesh, and not in these bodies. I had heard that there were some leaving the doctrines established by Chuck Smith, and that some of the Calvary Chapel pastors were headed in a different direction. It's not all that surprising, after all, men will be men. But I would hope that they make a clean break from Calvary Chapel if they pursue another way of teaching, or if they take on some new strange way of understanding how the Rapture works, or how we are transformed from this to that; I mean, it might be a mystery how God does it, but it is no mystery that it's a complete transformation. Paul goes through great detail to make it perfectly clear, we are transformed in the air! Having said that, I can understand how some might think it otherwise, seeing that such a large percentage of the church cannot wrap their heads around God creating the earth in seven days, or creating a child in the womb of a virgin; let alone, that the child created was God, Himself. Although this Psalm might be speaking about a time when Israel or Judah returned to their land, I think it speaks also to our time, and to the church returning back to the basics. There is a generation of skeptics in the church, who are those that have missed out on the power, because they have missed seeing the power demonstrated in those before them. I know it is sad to say, but that is not a guarantee that they are too far gone, they just need to experience their own miracle...
"So never be ashamed to tell others about the Lord. And don't be ashamed of me, either, even though I'm in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. For God saved us called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserve it, but because that was his plan from the beginning of time -to show us his grace through Jesus Christ. And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News."
