"The Bottom Line"

"And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them in a perpetual reproach." (Psalms 78:66) Here is the thing I love about our Heavenly Father, He is serious about His redemption! It really does not matter who you are or what you have done, if you want to be redeemed, then He is all for it! But, for those that want nothing to do with His redemption, well let's just say, it's going to burn a little down there. I think we need to remember something as a nation, and I am being very serious when I say this, that the enemies of Israel are the enemies of God. Any nation that comes against God's people, do so with disregard for God's redemption! That is the bottom line, because Israel is the symbol of God's redemption of all mankind. We might think that because they have rejected Jesus as their Messiah that God has left off protecting them, but not so; God will never abandon His promises towards Israel, and everything that might have happened to them has been written that it would happen; so in reality, even the bad that happened was part of a promise. That might be the part we tend to overlook in our own relationship with God, that He keeps His promises, all of them! That includes those promises about what happens when we go astray and when we sin. Never was anything God warned about happening part of a trick or a lie to try to scare us or to keep us in line. That is not how God is, He cares very much for our welfare and wants to protect us from getting hurt; everything that He tells us not to do, He does so that we don't get burned! The devil is going to get burned and he wants to take as many of us with him as he can. Look at the big lie in the beginning, as the devil told Eve, "Ye shall not surely die: for God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil." LIE!!! Nothing but a liar, that's what the devil is! God does not try to trick us into obedience, He wants to protect us from death and destruction. What the hack is wrong with some people and why are they so easily swayed? Oh, I forgot about that thing called the flesh. That's the thing about the flesh, when it gets an itch for something it wants, there is simply no way it can be pleased or satisfied until it gets it...
"This is what the Sovereign LORD says: "The people of Israel will again live in there own land, the land I gave my servant Jacob. For I will gather them from the distant lands where I scattered them. I will reveal to the nations of the world my holiness among my people. They will live safely in Israel and build homes and plant vineyards. And when I punish the neighboring nations that treated them with contempt, they will know that I am the LORD their God." (Ezekiel 28:25-26) NLT
