"Above the Earth"

"And he built his sanctuary like high places, like the earth which he hath established for ever." (Psalms 78:69) Don't misunderstand God's reason for choosing to do things the way that He has, because it's all about who get's the glory; and from our vantage point, it's 100% God, no question about it. Did you catch the list of offenses from Jeremiah's quote? That's our list of sins, whether you care to omit it or not. Yes murder is included: Jesus said, "If you hate your brother, you are a murderer." So yes, murder is part of the list of our offenses. I am pretty sure that we are all very much guilty of every single one of those Ten Commandments, if we were being totally honest. Why else do you think God gave them to us in the first place? They were given to show us how much we needed a Savior! Obviously God has not actually established this earth for ever; the end of Revelation shows us what will happen to this earth, as Peter also tells us in 2 Peter 3:10. But there is something else God wants us to see, something which came up from the earth, that will be established for ever and ever. Yes, I am talking about our great sanctuary that we have in Jesus Christ! Only Jesus is our hiding place, the place where our sins can be made no more, and where we can have the ability to be made white as snow! It just does not get any better than that! And the greatest thing of all, is that it is all God's doing! He finds us, He picks us up from the mud, and He makes us clean and purified; as pure as the whitest snow, not a speck of sin left, just as if we had never sinned! So, you have a question as to why Jesus might be the only way? There is nothing that can take away our sins, but the blood of Jesus...
"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on the earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see -such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were he enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault." (Colossians 1:15-22) NLT
