"God's Masterpiece" -2

"And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased." (Psalms 78:54) I wish I could listen to the radio all day, but I only get little pieces of each of the lessons, as I am in and out of my car so often. But I did hear Pastor Matt say yesterday, he was going to be teaching on "God's Masterpiece," and I had chills. But I have come to realize that it's pretty normal, because the Holy Spirit usually works that way; and also, seeing that so many of the Calvary pastors are making quotes from the New Living Translation these days. In case you are wondering what I am talking about, it's from Ephesians 2:10, where Paul says, "For we are God's masterpiece." The King James has it a little different, saying, "For we are his workmanship," but it still means the same thing, it's just that masterpiece sounds more like it's all God's doing, and none of our own. The bottom line, is for us to get the message that we must be in Christ for it to be anything worthy of heaven! Simply put, if we are not in Christ Jesus, we are not God's masterpiece, because His masterpiece is all about our redemption and taking us from a little lower than the angels, to judging angels, if that makes any sense to anyone. Actually, many believe that is what caused the revolt in heaven, and for one third of the angels to join Satan in turning against God. But in reality, it's only speculation; we really don't know for sure what caused it, except that it had something to do with vanity. Anywho, you have got to realize how special you are in Christ; not just in Christ, but in the body of Christ. We are more than just a body of believers, we are His Holy Temple; the Bride of Christ! I know it's hard to accept it, seeing how imperfect we are in these temporary tents. But this is only for a very short season; and when I say short, I mean it's like a flash of light compared to what comes next. Do you believe that? I hope that you do, because if you don't, you need to adjust your vision and perception on reality! The world sees this as being the most important time of their lives; the church should see it as the beginning of the rest of our life, a life of eternity in heaven...
"As the Scriptures say, "I am placing a cornerstone in Jerusalem, chosen for great honor, and anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced." Yes, you who trust him recognize the honor God has given him. But for those who reject him, "The stone that the builders rejected has now become the cornerstone." And, "He is the stone that makes people stumble, the rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they do not obey God's word, and so they meet the fate that was planned for them. But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people, a holy nation, God's very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he has called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. "Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God's people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God's mercy."" (1 Peter 2:6-10) NLT
