"To Be Loved"

"For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping my endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." (Psalms 30:5) Not everyone will get what I am about to say, but to love, is to be loved! It's one thing to be loved, and to know that God loves you, that we all can easily understand; but putting that love to life, that is where we know love! I believe that we all have a very special purpose to be alive on this earth; in our own special way, we all make some kind of difference in someone's life; some are good, and some, not so good, but some how or another, we all do effect the life of someone else in one way or another. It is my hope and prayer that I effect people's lives to the good, not giving out signs of being discouraged, or making my trials out to be something that abandons the hope of eternity. I think that we sometimes forget that people our watching us, especially when we are going through something; they are looking for real hope to be demonstrated in the life of those that say have hope. I am not talking about 'hope and change', I am talking about change, and then there is hope! I guess it all comes down to how you see the gift you have been given, and how that gift was given. Take the 'unthankful and unforgiving servant' from Matthew 18:22-35, who did not truly understand the great gift that he was given, and therefore did not put into practice that which he had been given. That servant was called into account by his king for a debt that he owed, one which he could never repay, and when he begged for mercy, he received it; that was the gift he received, it was mercy; the grace part of that story was him being totally released from the debt! The king did not try and work something out, or make some kind of compromise on getting payments; he totally released him from the debt! The whole point of the parable, is that we must forgive others if we are truly thankful for the forgiveness that we have received, because if we are truly thankful for the forgiveness, then we have been changed into a person that knows what true forgiveness is all about. It is the same with love, in that we are so very thankful for the love that God shows to us, that we have to show love, because we know what true love is all about; and every time we do show forth His love, it reminds us that we are loved... "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: for God is a consuming fire. Let brotherly love continue. Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares. Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body." (Hebrews 12:28-13:3)
