"To Be Loved" -3

"For His anger endureth but a moment; in His favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." (Psalms 30:5) This is it, I believe; but that's not really up to me! What is your night? For most of the people who live by night and day schedules, night is the time when you prepare for bed; but for those that work odd hours, night is when you get things done. But here's the thing with God's schedule: He does not have a night and day routine, nor is He dependent upon our schedule to operate His plan into our meager little lives! What the heck am I trying to say! (I say that to get your attention.) How do you know whether or not that trial you are going through is not God's mercy at work in your life??? It might seem like God is judging you, or taking you through something because of something that you have done, or something you have not done, but that is not God's general plan, nor is it His heart for you; He does not allow us to face trials in order to punish us, His heart is to get our attention, and to make us more dependant upon Him! We toil through life, sometimes not giving much thought to our spiritual living, and whether or not we are putting much of an effort into the friendship we have with the Lord; that is until we are facing something that is beyond our control; then we snap out of our slump and cry out to God for His mercy. It is in those times that His mercy means more to us than ever before; again and again, His mercy endures; again and again, His mercy makes us wait on Him, and it gives us mornings! Mornings are the bright day at the end of a very dark night... "And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise Thee: though Thou wast angry with me, Thine anger is turned away, and Thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He is also become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for He hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee." (Isaiah 12:1-6)
