"And Largely Living" -2

"LORD, by Thy favour Thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: Thou didst hide Thy face, and I was troubled." (Psalms 30:7) And here we go! This is the thing that I was trying to get across, but seemed to be stumbled by in the process: there are two ways that we can walk in this world; we can either walk from victory to victory, or we can walk from defeat to defeat; both of which will involve God's favour being upon us, but the difference is the carnage that is left in our pathway, because there are repercussions to our defeats! If we continue to keep walking in the Spirit, then we will be walking from victory to victory, with God continually blowing our minds with the power that He has given us, and we may even bring many many others into the fold beside us as we go; however, if we give into temptation and the desires of our flesh, then we will establish a defeat; and although God may bring us out of our defeat victorious, we can begin to measure our success by the defeats that we are delivered from, and we really never make that much of a difference towards the kingdom of God. Oh, God can still use us, and does; but the impact that we should have had upon those that He has placed within our lives, is not what it could have been, if we would just remain walking in the Spirit! This touches extremely close to the critical areas in my life, so I do not speak as one who is unfamiliar with what I am talking about! The point that I wish to make, is that God would have us to be victorious; and more than that, He has provided all that we need to walk victoriously; but it really comes down to our desire to have the victory!!! Thus, the reason for the silly title of this posting, because we really do have the ability to 'largely living', meaning that we can press ahead on the basis that God has made our mountain to stand strong, we just need to stand upon it! And know this: the higher the mountain, the stronger the wind becomes at the top, so you had better stand strong in the power of His Holy Spirit; remembering that we can either lean upon the habits of our defeats, or we can yield to the power of His victories... "Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tested, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love Him. Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth He any man: but every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death." (James 1:12-15)
