"Waiting on The Lord"

"If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences." (Ecclesiastes 10:4 KJV)

"For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do. Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God's promises because of their faith and endurance." (Hebrews 6:10-12 NLT)

If you come to a crossroad and don't quite know which way you should go, it just might be because you have too many bags that you are carrying, and you really need God to lighten your load. Don't ask me where that came from, because I really think it implies to me.

There is something really important about waiting on the Lord, even though we might feel like He is telling us to move, the movement He wants from us might be that of submission and giving everything over to Him. The most important thing for us to do, is surrender the power we might think we have, and yield our lives over to the power that He wants to give us.

At least that is what I believe He is telling me today. Yesterday I went my PO Box hoping to find a check, anything that I could put into the bank and try to undo my upside-down accounts. I opened the box to find one letter, an American Express letter offering me a loan of up to $40,000 with five different options to pay it back.

Here I am, putting more and more debt on my back, and thinking about adding more, just to try and catch up. At what point do we say enough is enough? My serious problem is that I continually try to pay the bills, even though I might not have the money, I still send out the checks, waiting for the money to come, hoping it will get here before the check gets possessed, and my over-draft kicks in.

There, now you know what it means to wait on the Lord! Because I am pretty sure that wait means to stop what you are doing and wait to see what God wants you to do! Oh, and by the way, these last posts from the last couple of days, was meant to be about what some people think about when it comes to putting all of their faith in the LORD: a lot of people think that it is foolish...

"Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD." (PSALM 27:14 NLT)
