"Alternate Realities" - Two

"I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth." (Ecclesiastes 10:7 KJV)

"Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God." (Ephesians 5:1-2 NLT)

If there is one thing that I can see God is doing in this storm, it is His desire for me to trust in Him, no matter how things appear, no matter what might happen, His ways are the best because He knows best what I need, more than I could ever realize! Oddly enough, it is my honor and pride that I feel is what needs to be taken down a notch; whether or not that is it, I feel that it is something that I must do, to humble myself and be willing to lose everything I own, to follow Him.

Anywho, this is nothing compared to what is happening to some of our brothers and sisters down in Southern California. There are people who have lost just about everything they have; their home and their belongings, their cars and their businesses. Everything gone in just a matter of days! Some have even lost the ones, (pets included,) they love; burned alive in the fire!

Just so you know, Jesus was called the "Prince of Peace," which might be the only thing that might matter to those who have nothing left, to feel peace that passes all understanding! What does peace mean to you? Is it freedom from disturbance and tranquility?

Peace is only worth having if it comes from God! No matter what happens in this life, we can have peace, unobtainable peace, in trusting in the Lord for getting through this life, no matter how difficult it might seem, we will get through this, and He will bring us safely through to the other side! If this is what you truly believe, then peace will be yours; but remember this: The real peace comes only from God ...

"Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again - rejoice! Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon. Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God's peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:4-7 NLT)
