"Unprecedented"

"Marvelous things did he in the sight of their fathers, in the land of Egypt, in the field of Zoan." (Psalms 78:12) As far as I can tell, God has been very patient with those of us that can't quite seem to obey as we should. He is very patient, for the most part; then again, I wouldn't want to experience His judgment or wrath; nor do I expect any other of His children would, at least not willingly. Or would we? I am 100% convinced that God loves me and has every good intention for my life; His plans for me far exceed my expectations and my own capabilities. How can I be so sure that this is so? Because He has said so in His word, that's why; and His word is the most important thing that we have been given; even more important than signs and wonders. You know, signs and wonders are here today and gone tomorrow, but His word we have with us always. If you want to know anything about who God is or how much He loves you, it's all right here within these 106 Books, which we have come to know as the Holy Bible. How do we know the Bible is absolutely true? That is simple. Because there are no mistakes and every prediction or prophecy has come to pass, just as He said that it would. Now, you show me any other piece of written work that can prove that, because I don't think that you can. We can't even get history right, let alone predict the future; more than that, we totally can't learn from our own mistakes. There is the difference between the way we do things and God does things: God is always doing something new, we just keep repeating the same stupid things over and over again, with the same stupid results...
"The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. As the Scriptures say, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the intelligence of the intelligent." So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world's brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe. It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Greeks, who seek human wisdom. So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it's all nonsense. But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God's weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength." (1 Corinthians 1:18-25)
