"He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight." (John 9:11 KJV)
"Praise the LORD! I will thank the LORD with all my heart as I meet with his godly people. How amazing are the deeds of the LORD! All who delight in him should ponder them. Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails. He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD!" (Psalm 111:1-4 NLT)
Basic and true! Simply put, we really do not need to dress it up or make it sound extra ordinary, as if there was something as spectacular as Paul's encounter with the Lord; we just need to share what was done and how much it changed us, letting God do the rest.
How many times I have witnessed to someone, or some group of people, and then went away somewhat discouraged, thinking that my effort to save someone went unfulfilled, is just too many times to count. We do not save people! We are sinful men and women that have been saved by God's grace, and that is what we are, and that is what we must share, letting the saving of a soul be up to God!
As a matter of fact, the biggest impact we can make, in just about and situation, is to declare God's word, plain and simple! That is exactly what this unblind man did! He told them what Jesus said, and then told them what happen because of what he did: He obeyed and was healed! When we do what God tells us to do, good things will happen!
It is really not rocket-science, it is just a fact! James tells us: "But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it." (James 1:25 NLT) God causes us to remember, by having people asking us to share! And the more we can share what God has done, the more we remember!
Amazing stuff...
"For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes - the Jew first and also the Gentile. This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "It is through faith that a righteous person has life."" (Romans 1:16-17 NLT)
