"Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves." (John 6:43 KJV)
"Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." (Hebrews 4:13 KJV)
I truly hope that you remembered what Thanksgiving was all about; because knowing the Truth, is one of the things we sometimes take for granted, as if it is common place for us to know Him, seeing that it so easy for us to understand and fellowship with our Creator. Be ready, in season and out of season, to give a testimony of what you know, no matter how simple it is for you to understand, the Truth is hidden from the lost!
For whatever it is worth, just telling someone about Jesus and the cross, even though it might seem old news to us, it is by far the greatest sign of God's love, (unconditionally loving us, all of us,) that most people that are not saved are ashamed and feel unworthy of receiving it. Because of this condition, they feel as though there will be some sort of great sacrifice that they must make, just in order to receive His forgiveness.
I really like what Gavin's character says, in The Resurrection of Gavin Stone, as he tells the Rich Young Ruler who walks away: "Don't Go! Don't walk away! You'll be missing out on so much more!" He was totally out of script, but he was speaking from his heart and from experience. This are simple things that God can do so much with. Oddly enough, the man that portrayed to character of the Rich Young Ruler, who being in character, actually thought about coming back towards Gavin during the sequence, which would have also been out of script.
Yes, I know, it was all about acting. But, stop and think about something very important, and do not forget: out of season is the point in which you act out what you know, because God can work in and through you, no matter what you might feel like about yourself! We are a vessel...
"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison doors to them that are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified." (Isaiah 61:1-3 KJV)
