"To Grant Rest"

"For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works." (Hebrews 4:4 KJV)

"Do not get involved in foolish discussions about spiritual pedigrees or in quarrels and fights about obedience to Jewish laws. These things are useless and a waste of time. If people are causing division among you, give a first and second warning, After that, have nothing to do with them. For people like that have turned from the truth, and their own sins condemn them." (Titus 3:9-11 NLT)

Get this: I heard something yesterday that blew my mind, this Pastor was sharing about the solar system and how the earth is slowing down, spinning slower. I never heard that before, and it was something that is hard to understand, seeing that the days don't seem longer, they seem to be going faster!

Anywho, this is about the Sabbath Day, and it is rather important for us to follow! God made the Sabbath for us to rest; simply put! It is for our good, that we should take a day, pretty much any day, and make it a day of rest. Most Pastor's take Monday as the day of rest, as it is pretty much the end of their week; so, on Tuesday they start their week of ministry all over again.

There are some religions that try to make Saturday the Sabbath, as if that is the day God established for everyone to shut their doors and stay inside their houses, not doing anything but fast and pray. And then there are some that make the Saturday the day of worship; making it as if anyone that worships on any other day, as if they are sinning against God.

To be perfectly correct: Every day is a Day to worship God! There should never be a day when we fail to pray and read our Bibles, making time to praise and hear from the LORD our God. Even if we are on a vacation, something that is meant to be a time away from work. There should never be a day that God is ignored, or fellowship is forgotten or ignored.

I have tried my best to find a church, usually a Calvary Chapel, wherever I am in my travels; especially when I am with my wife. Although, it sometimes gets a little awkward when everyone wants to gather around my wife and pray for her healing. But I never refuse prayer!

This rest that God took was something He made Himself do; not because He was tired from the work, but to rest and enjoy the beauty of His creation; a creation that was to put us in awe of Him...

"Come let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come to him with thanksgiving. Let us sing psalms of praise to him. For the LORD is a great God, a great King above all gods. He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed to dry land, too. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the LORD our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!" (PSALM 95:1-7
