"Who Do You Love?"

"Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;" (Hebrews 3:1 KJV)

"This letter is from Jude, a slave of Jesus Christ and a brother of James. I am writing to all who have been called by God the Father, who loves you and keeps you safe in the care of Jesus Christ. May God give you more and more mercy, peace, and love." (Jude 1-2 NLT)

Believe it or not, but this might be one of those mornings when I really don't know where to start; it's almost as if there is something causing me to feel as though I need to change directions, as if I am running a race that is getting me nowhere. Do you ever get the feeling that you are being shunned?

Not that it really bothers me, because I believe that I have someone who loves me, worth more than any love I can get from people on earth; but it does cause me to wonder if there is something I am missing. If there is something wrong with me, I would hope someone might actually care enough to tell me what I have done that is wrong.

Anywho, there are bigger and better things to talk about, most of which is the love we have for Christ Jesus, our Lord! Jesus was not kidding when He said, "Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword." (Matthew 10:34 NLT) There must be nothing greater that we love than Christ Jesus; He is first and foremost, our very first love!

Maybe there needs to be some definition of what first love actually means? By the way, I was wondering where Pastor Bryan was going, as he shared about some people's last rights and having to get the chance to go gracefully into that good night? Will we be looking for something better, or looking back at the things we might miss?

Hopefully we have the kind of love for Jesus that looks towards Him! I really need to get a grip, because the sadness of being told your time is up, shouldn't be sad, it should be expecting something glorious and amazing; something that is what we are partakers of, The Heavenly Calling...

"For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better." (Philippians 1:21 NLT)
