"Just in Case"

"A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation." (Psalms 68:5) I know, it makes me wonder too, but they did refer to Jesus as "a bastard child"; yet, we that believe the Bible to be totally accurate, know the truth. The absolute truth, if you are really seeking, is that Jesus was not only a son of a father, He was Thee Son of The Father; The One and Only Son of The One and Only True God! So you can go tell it on the mountain, because there are some today that still refer to Jesus in the same manner that they did in the day. I don't want to get political, but I have got to say something about those who want to pretend they know anything about God, yet they deny the fact that He is. Say for instance, someone who might have a bit of a "God complex"; which by definition, is someone that feels they are incapable of making mistakes, and if they do, then it was someone else who is at fault. It is a person who is extremely arrogant, thinking they are above everyone else, and that they are the captain of their own ship. I actually witnessed someone representing Christians in this land, try to stand up for someone described above, and he tried to make the case that that kind of a man was the answer. We pretty much have come to a cross-road in this country; one which has taken us to a place where the true believers are looked down upon, and those that exalt the will of the masses above the will of God are lifted up. I say it is a cross-road, not because I believe this country has a chance to make the right choice, but because it's time for true believers to pick up their cross and follow Jesus... "This is the meaning of the parable: The seed is God's word. The seeds that fell on the footpath represent those who hear the message, only to have the devil come and take it from their hearts and prevent them from believing and being saved. The seeds on the rocky soil represent those who hear the message and receive it with joy. But since they don't have deep roots, they believe for a while, then they fall away when they face temptation. The seeds that fell among the thorns represent those who hear the message, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares and riches and pleasures of this life. And so they never grow into maturity. And the seeds that fell on the good soil represent honest, good-hearted people who hear God's word, cling to it, and patiently produce a huge harvest. No one lights a lamp and then covers it with a bowl or hides it under a bed. A lamp is placed on a stand, where its light can be seen by all who enter the house. For all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open, and everything that is concealed will be brought to light and made known to all. So pay attention to how you hear. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But for those who are not listening, even what they think they understand will be taken away from them." (Luke 8:11-18) NLT
