"And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him." (Hebrews 1:6 KJV)
"For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his gory. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?" (Romans 8:29-31 NLT)
First off, it was this work of God that caused the revolt in Heaven, when one-third of the angels followed Satan in his rebellion against God; all because of his jealousy of mankind and the perfect plan God had to make them as Him, in His image! Not quite sure most people get the just of this, but God's plans always work, way in advance!
Yesterday I heard a message, from a Jewish Scholar. He stated off by talking about Paul's thorn in his side, and how Paul prayed that God would deliver him from it. As he explained it, this was a product of Satan, which God allowed; mostly to keep Paul humble, because of the amazing things which God was showing him; things which far outweigh the knowledge of mankind's understanding.
After explaining that, he started comparing that with the fall of man in the Garden; how that God needed for man to fall, in order to establish redemption. Finally, someone that agrees with me and sees what it was that makes the cross of Christ something planned before the beginning of the foundations of the world!
That said, I have tried over and over again to try and explain why mankind needed to have freewill to make the choice to love and honor God. Why couldn't God just make us like robots, that follow His every command, without hesitation? The point of God's choosing was the heart! As big as God's mind might be, I believe that His heart is even bigger!
I have learned something over these last few decades, that the mind can be damaged and lack its ability to properly function, but the heart is the true source of life...
"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life." (Proverbs 4:23 NLT)
