"Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." (Hebrews 1:9 KJV)
"For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity - the man Christ Jesus. He gave his life to purchase freedom for everyone. This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time." (1 Timothy 2:5-6 NLT)
Whether or not you know all of the points to the things that accrued on the day Christ was crucified, the most important fact of all, is that only He was worthy enough to make it happen: To take away the sins of the entire world! Yes, He paid the price for everyone, every sin ever committed, from the very beginning to the very end; His death on the cross was enough to cover every sin!
Therefore, it is not God's fault if you do not accept the free gift of His salvation, because He has made a way for everyone to be saved, if you will just believe in the Son and what He has done! It is really not that hard to understand. As Paul has said, "This is the message God gave to the world at just the right time."
This is for the seeker of the truth. If you really want to find the proof, then God has established the way for you to find it and prove to yourself that it is real. The prophecies alone are enough to prove it, just a hand full of them, can be enough to outweigh the odds. Together with the fact that Rome was ruling the land, and that the cross was being used for putting people to death; everything that happened that day was told about; even the bitter wine and the nail in His hands.
Besides all of that which happened on that day, it was the third day that is the easiest to investigate and believe that it happened. Yes, it really doesn't take much discovery to understand that every one of the disciples were persecuted for their testimony that Jesus lives! All were killed, but John, who was tortured, and they tried to kill him, but finally put him on an island.
Would you give up your life for a lie? They believed it because they were with Him after He rose; they could not deny what they knew was the proof: Eternal Life is Real...
"But tell me this - since we preach that Christ rose from the dead, why are some of you saying there will be no resurrection of the dead? For if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, then all our preaching is useless, and our faith is useless. And we apostles would all be lying about God - for we have said that God raised Christ from the grave. But that can't be true if there is no resurrection of the dead. And if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ has not been raised. And if Christ has not been raised, then your faith is useless and you are still guilty of your sins. In that case, all who have died believing in Christ are lost! And if our hope in Christ is only for this life, we are more to be pitied than anyone in the world. But in fact, Christ has been raised from the dead. He is the first of a great harvest of all who have died." (1 Corinthians 15:12-20 NLT)
