"For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus: "You are my Son. Today I have become your Father." God also said, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son." And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said, "Let all of God's angels worship him." Regarding the angels, he says, "He sends his angels like the winds, his servants like flames of fire." But to the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice. You love justice and hate evil. Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you, pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else." He also says to the Son, "In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth and made the heavens with your hands. They will perish, but you remain forever. They will wear out like old clothing. You will fold them up like a cloak and discard them like old clothing. But you are always the same; you will live forever." And God never said to any of the angels, "Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet." Therefore, angels are only servants - spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation." (Hebrews 1:4-14 NLT)
"For I am the LORD, I do not change; Therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob." (Malachi 3:6 KJV)
And then we have this little situation: I was told, ever since I was six or seven, that Jesus was once Michael the Arch Angel. Yes, this is what they believe, have been told, and pass down to their children. Having been told that, it was never my thought, before I got saved, that Jesus was who I know He is today!
When I arrived in that cafeteria, the service had already started, and everyone was singing worship songs. I took a place in the back, but made sure I could see the speaker, once the message had begun. The man who was sharing was a black man, who was from a Foursquare Church. As he began to share the message, he took off his watch, and holding it up, he said, "You see this watch? This watch tells me that somewhere out there, there is a watch maker."
I thought to myself, "Well that seems pretty obvious!" Obviously, I was being shown something that was really easy to understand. But, then he said, "And, you and me, and all that we see, has a Creator; and I am here today to tell you; That Creator is Jesus Christ!"
"What in the world!" I thought. But right then and there I closed my eyes and envisioned Jesus hanging on the cross, and my ignorant life ended! I thought to myself, "How could this be? The Creator of this earth hung on a cross? What did this mean?"
After that, he spent the next 20 minutes or so, showing us all the Scriptures which specifically said that Jesus Christ was the Creator of heaven and earth. And I was totally undone! Everything I was told as a child was a lie; I totally could not believe we were not allowed to read these Scriptures; it was as if they avoided each and every one of them.
This is why they don't want people to read the Bible without those Scripture Studies, because you will see for yourself that Jesus is truly God! We must be humble, but we should not be vulnerable! That is what I learned that day...
"And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together, and led him into their council, saying, Art thou the Christ? tell us. And he said unto them, If I tell you, ye will not believe: And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God. Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am. And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth." (Luke 22:66-71 KJV)
