"For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?" (Hebrews 1:5 KJV)
"My faithfulness and unfailing love will be with him, and by my authority he will grow in power. I will extend his rule over the sea, and his dominion over the rivers. And he will call out to me, 'You are my Father, my God, and the Rock of my salvation.' I will make him my firstborn son, the mightiest king on earth." (PSALM 89:24-27 NLT)
If you have been wondering how the Son and the Father could be One, you are not alone; most people don't really get how it all works; some don't even try and give it too much thought, they just accept it as truth, waiting for the day when everything will be revealed. I have practiced several different ways to explain it, but the closest thing I can relate it to, is how we are created, body, soul, and spirit; and yet we are one person.
If there was one thing which God might start with, in all of His creation, it would be the Foundation. Everything starts with a foundation; nothing is going to last or hold up all of creation, without there being a Foundation! There are 72 Bible verses about "Before Foundation Of The World"; there are 10 times we find the expression, "The Foundation of the World," in the New Testament.
Paul expresses that there is no other Foundation that can be laid, other than the one already laid, which is Christ. (1 Corinthians 3:11) Basically, there had to be the beginning, and that beginning was Christ Jesus! Don't be too shocked by that, because there is really not any other way to describe how Jesus, who is the Word, created everything else!
As to the comment about the angels, when the time was, whenever that was, it was before the angels were created, that much is certain. Which really takes the whole idea about Michael becoming Jesus off the table; if anything, Jesus created Michael...
"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we cannot see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together." (Colossians 1:15-17 NLT)
