"For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." (Hebrews 12:3 KJV)
"Don't be misled - you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let's not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessings if we don't give up. Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should go good to everyone - especially to those in the family of faith." (Galatians 6:7-10 NLT)
It isn't every day that we get the opportunity to do good for others, yet the things we do, when given the chance, should not cause us to feel as though we should receive a reward or admonishment. There is more pleasure in giving than receiving, which is something that we should all remember to keep in mind. What gain in this world will surely pass away; but what we give, is something that can last forever.
Anywho, the main thing I wanted to talk about was this thing about, "faint in your minds," as it is not just an expression of weariness, because we all pretty much grow weary from time to time. This really isn't something that we should worry over, because the Bible says, "All of creation groans," waiting for the ultimate redemption to take place.
Weariness is also something that Jesus dealt with, so if it was something that He dealt with, then we should never complain or feel disgusted when we feel weary. The main thing we must remember about the weariness that Jesus went through, is that it was not for Himself, but it was for us...
"He was despised and rejected - a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed." (Isaiah 53:3-5 NLT)
