"Building a Superstructure"

"Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on to perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God," (Hebrews 6:1 KJV)

"The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the first light of day." (Proverbs 4:18 NLT)

Having been in ministry, there are certain things I believe we must do, the most important is that of making disciples and sharing the Good News. The thing I learned, right from the start, is that you grow in the Lord by sharing His word and proclaiming the wonderful things He has done; 100% true! If you do not share and keep it all to yourself, you become stagnate, which is the opposite of having 'A River of Life' flowing out of you.

Something else that we are instructed to do is grow! We do not remain babies, just as natural life of a newborn babe, we learn to walk, to speak, and to understand what is going on around us. You would be surprised how many believers don't know certain things they should know, only because they do not feel that should care what happens in this world. It is the same reason that they do not vote; they do not feel as though they should participate in elections.

One of the things which really drew me towards caring about elections, was reading books like, "This Present Darkness." It took me two weeks to read; but when "Piercing the Darkness" came out, I read it within 48 hours! The main point I am trying to make, is that the evil in this world is not man-made! It is we workings of the devil and the spiritual darkness.

We do not have hate towards our enemies, as they are just flesh and blood, just like us. Mankind is not the enemy; the real enemy is the devil and all that he causing to happen on this earth. Never forget that he is the ruler on this planet. Although he might be restricted by certain things, he can still cause more destruction than you know.

Adding onto that, we must never underestimate the power of prayer! Whether you are praying for something, someone, or even yourself; or someone is praying for you: never forget that God is more than capable of hearing and acting upon our prayers! I truly believe that He does act upon our prayers, in one way or another. They might not happen right away, but in His time and purposes, they be brought to light.

And, to that, I will end today with the Proverb I started with: The sun comes up, it doesn't just sit on the horizon! In other words, we grow, one way or another! And there is always a way our Father helps us to grow...

"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing." (James 1:2-4 NLT)
