"The Foot!"

"John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there standeth one among you, whom ye know not; He it is, who coming after me is preferred before me, whose shoe's latchet I am not worthy to unloose." (John 1:26-27 KJV)

"Then the LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, you are cursed more than all animals, domestic and wild. You will crawl on your belly, groveling in the dust as long as you live. And I will cause hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will strike your head, and you will strike his heel."" (Genesis 3:14-15 NLT)

In the world of what is believable or not, this is what you would call: "A Game Changer!" There is no way to deny that Jesus Christ did not to rise up from the dead! Untold millions of people have tried, throughout history, to erase the proof and change the story; but what is Truth can not be erased or done away with, not in thousands, even millions of years!

Imagine the look on those faces, of them that thought they had won, the devil included; there was no holding Him down, and that which was written was true: "Oh my, what have we done!" You have unleashed the power of the Victor! He who now holds the keys to death, as well as the keys to hell! "Oops," they would say, as they pondered what they might have done differently. Although, I am pretty sure that the devil knew he couldn't win; but he sure could get a lot of very important people to take his side.

I love the way the movie, "Risen," portrays the character of one of the disciples, I believe it was Bartholomew; maybe it was Philip. Either one, he was so filled with excitement and joy, as they tried to convince him that Jesus could not have risen, it only caused him to become the more excited and bold; bold enough to step right up into the face of the Centurion, and pretty much laugh in his face.

There are some things that people are willing to risk their life for; a make-believe story is not one of them! To be quite frank, this is the "strike" that is spoken of in Genesis 3:15, His heel was bruised by the brutal death on the cross, but the serpent's head was stepped upon by that same heel, which was by His resurrection! Where would the Christian faith be without the resurrection? Paul tells us, "If Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins." (1 Corinthians 15:17 KJV)

The power of the cross was made alive! Because He lives, we are made alive in Him! Don't let anyone try and convince you otherwise: HE IS RISEN...

"But very early on Sunday morning the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. So they went in, but they didn't find the body of the Lord Jesus. As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared them, clothed in dazzling robes. The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, "Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn't here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day."" (Luke 24:1-7 NLT)
