"But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood." (Hebrews 7:24 KJV)
"Well then, since God's grace has set us free from the law, does that mean we can go on sinning? Of course not! Don't you realize that you become a slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Thank God! Once you were slaves of sin, but now you wholeheartedly obey this teaching we have given you. Now you are free from your slavery of sin, and you have become slaves to righteous living." (Romans 6:15-18 NLT)
Just so you know, we do have a choice; we can either believe that it is real, or we can pretend to believe and then, just, hope that is enough. Don't fool yourself with speculation, because if you need some real evidence, it is right there for whosoever wants to look it up! But no matter what, you have to believe! And when I say believe, I mean that it is real enough to die for, without any hesitation!
Okay, so I can sometimes get carried away; but I truly believe that is something that causes so many to fall away: Not making what they have been freely given, something that is worth more than they could ever give. What does that mean to you? Well, if you remember that thing I shared about me giving up because I could not keep God's commandments? I just consider myself to be doomed and going to hell; and I let myself go, just doing whatever I wanted to do, no matter what.
This is something that is just the opposite of that...
"When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the obligation to do right. And what was the result? You are now ashamed of the things you used to do, things that end in eternal doom. But now you are free from the power of sin and have become slaves of God. Now you do those things that lead to holiness and result in eternal life. For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:20-23 NLT)
