"Just Believe" - Too

"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." (Hebrews 7:25 KJV)

"But we are citizens of heaven, where the Jesus Christ lives. And we are eagerly waiting for him to return as our Savior. He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like his own, using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control." (Philippians 3:20-21 NLT)

As I was typing that Scripture from Isaiah yesterday, it reminded me of the challenge given, over and over, that we have to believe what we have been reading, because the chances for those things happening, 700 years after they were foretold, is practically impossible! There was so much there that was played out in more than many ways; especially the reasons that Jesus was punished and His death upon the cross.

In case you didn't know, the Romans did not invent the crucifixion on the cross; it was first used by another country, one much more brutal and less interested in the rule of law. But they did change the manner of the crucifixion, by making into a cross! And, by the way, Jesus was born in such a time as that, which made the cross available for the use of His death. You might not think that really matters, but it really does. The cross is not just something God used at the time of His death; the cross has shown up in many other things also.

For starters, when the children of Isreal were marching in formation in that wilderness, they were formatted into the pattern of a cross. Not only that, but there were four flags that were involved with that pattern, as the tribes were broken up into groups; and those four flags represented the four Gospels!

I know that might sound strange, but you should look it up for yourself, because the same emblems that were on those four flags were also shown in Ezekiel and Revelation. Just something to see for your own curiosity. Besides that, when Balam was told to curse Isreal from that mountain, no matter which way he looked down on them, he saw the figure of the cross, making it impossible for him to curse them.

Beyond all of that, there is a cross in the middle of the black hole out in outer space, as well as inside of our bodies! Yes, we have a particular molecule called, Laminin, which is a cell-adhesion molecule that holds everything together. So, when the Bible says, "He holds all things together," it really means that He does...

"Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see - such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everyone to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ's blood on the cross." (Colossians 1:15-20 NLT)
